"Along Mszczonów Streets Route" 4,5km MSZCZONÓW is over 630 years old. It obtained its town rights from the Mazovian prince, Ziemovit 3. The town was first recorded in the history by accident over 760 years ago. There is a hypothesis that in those times Mszczonów was owned by a prince and housed a small manor house, where princes stopped for a longer period when they hunted in the surrounding forests. In the 16th century, the town was first subject to life lease and then inherited by the Radziejowski Family, who were owners of the Radziejowice estate. Unfortunately, the owners took care mainly of their own interests and limited town development opportunities by their excessive fiscalism. MSZCZONÓW was strongly damaged during many fires (1696, 1800, 1860, 1862), as well as during the Second World War by the Nazis. In the years 1939 – 1945, Germans destroyed 85% of buildings and killed almost 50% inhabitants. The present Mszczonów is one of the most dynamically developing towns in Poland. It is called the “Tiger of Mazovia”. Once craftsman town, now it has transformed into a flourishing logistic and industrial centre. Discover all its advantages with us!
